As some of you may know, last week I went on a shopping spree and bought a new hair care pack by RPR which included the My Argan Oil Elixir. I've been using it for a couple of days now and it's really helped my hair be less frizzy, more controlled and a lot softer.

I was told to spray some on the ends after I had towel dried my hair and then spray some more on once my hair was dry. After spraying it on I brush through my hair, slowly working my way to the top of my head, with my fingers which I've been told helps stimulate your natural hair oils.
Things I've noticed since using the Elixir are that my curls are not more pronounced, my hair is softer and it is less frizzy - which are the actual benefits from using the Elixir! This is the first where a hair care product has actually done its job on my hair! I'll definitely be using this from now on and hopefully when I start using the RPR shampoo and conditioner that also came in the pack my hair will become more tamed (finally). What products do you use to control your hair?

Until next time, Emily xoxo

So yesterday (Sunday) I cleared out my wardrobe of all the clothes I no longer wear/don't like, which meant that today was time for a shopping spree which ended up being a Topshop spree. If you don't already know I am a huge Topshop fan to the point where most of my clothes are Topshop (sorry not sorry).

Here is what I bought:

3 shirts and an orange singlet.
The pink/orange shirt has small see-through flowers all over it which is why I bought the orange singlet.
In the middle is a plain off-white shirt.
On the right is a blue shirt with a lace over the top. Underneath on the front it is lined but the back is open.

I also went and got a new shampoo and conditioner for my hair as I have been meaning to try this new brand for a while. It's RPR and I have got the Fix My Frizz as my hair does tend to go very frizzy in warmer temperatures. I got the pack as it was slightly cheaper than getting the shampoo and conditioner so I also got a brush and an Argon Oil which is supposed to help with frizz also. (Have any of you tried it?)

Also while in the hair store I became an experiment for the new curling machine they had in store - the Miracurl Styler by Rusk. Now this curler machine is awesome! You take a small strand of your hair, as you would with normal curlers, and then half way up the strand you clamp on the Miracurl. It then sucks up you hair and curls it for you, holding it for a few seconds and then beeping to let you know it is done and ready to be released. It was so quick and easy but sadly I did not have enough money to purchase so instead here is what my hair looked like after being curled by the Miracurl. (please excuse my facial expression, no idea what face I'm making)

Until next time, Emily xoxo

So tonight I'm going to see the Australian Ballet perform Cinderella and I'm super excited as I haven't been to the ballet in way too long. I also used to dance so here's to all the memories! Anyway, here is a run down of what I am wearing, my makeup and my hair.

What I'm wearing:

I love wearing dresses for a night out because they are so easy to work with. Here I am wearing Topshop with black ankle high heeled boots and some sheer tights with hearts on them. Sadly my shoes are not in the photo (sorry guys).

My makeup:

I always wash my face before putting on any makeup and because I have sensitive skin I use the Clinique 3 Step (Liquid Facial Soap, Mild Clarifying Lotion and the Redness Solutions Daily Relief Cream). I find that these really help make my skin look clean, fresh and ready for the day/night.

Makeup I used:

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
Clinique Redness Solutions Powder
Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes
Dior Blush 553 Peechy Keen

My hair:

Now my hair is naturally curly/wavy so I have massive problems trying to make it behave and stay in one place. Here is my attempt at curling it (yes I know it's already curly but I wanted to achieve the nice loose curls). First I straightened my hair and then using curlers I wrapped my hair around the rod and held it in position for a few seconds before gently letting it go. This technique allowed me to achieve soft curls instead of ringlets.

(Review of the ballet in next post!)

Until next time, Emily xoxo
