Michael Bublé Concert: 2014

by - Thursday, May 22, 2014

They say 3rd times a charm and as this was the 3rd time I've seen Michael Bublé  I can confirm that the saying is correct. Each time I've seen Michael Bublé, or as my mum refers to him 'The Bublé', he's been a charmer. He's witty, swarve and of course sexy.

Sliding out from behind the curtain to great us all Bublé starts the concert on a hit. Though he soon explains that he has broken the concert into two parts - slow to begin with, then faster songs at the end to get us all ready for 'a Saturday night out'. As usual, Bublé captures the audience and takes them on an intimate ride through the history of music.

I say intimate because somehow, and I still have no clue how he does it, he makes an arena seem like a small room. It always seems like you could reach out, no matter where you are in the arena, and touch him. Somehow, you feel like you are alone in a room with the people you went to the concert with having a private performance.

Of course, Bublé wouldn't be Bublé without the musical history he brings to his concerts. With a wide variety of songs ranging from ones my Nana loves to ones that I love today, Bublé easily slips into the hearts of everyone. Plus, we are all given a small music lesson along the way!

At what must of been the half way point of the concert Bublé quickly makes his way through the audience to his second stage. Here is where the music picks up and everyone is on their feet dancing and singing. With the occasional joke and dashing smile Bublé starts to close up to concert, much to my disappointment.

Making his way back to the main stage he slows down the pace again and the intimate feel is instantly back. As the musicians disappear behind the curtain, Bublé is left standing alone with a single spotlight lighting the stage. He drops his microphone to his side and starts to sing, his voice resonating through the entire audience. Everyone is silent as his finishes off the song 'Home' and sadly waves goodbye. It's hard to believe that three hours had gone by!

As always, Michael Bublé performs amazingly and captures the hearts of everyone in the audience again and again. In the meantime I'll be patiently sitting here waiting for him to announce his next tour (please let it be soon!)!!

Until next time, Emily xoxo
