They say 3rd times a charm and as this was the 3rd time I've seen Michael Bublé  I can confirm that the saying is correct. Each time I've seen Michael Bublé, or as my mum refers to him 'The Bublé', he's been a charmer. He's witty, swarve and of course sexy.

Sliding out from behind the curtain to great us all Bublé starts the concert on a hit. Though he soon explains that he has broken the concert into two parts - slow to begin with, then faster songs at the end to get us all ready for 'a Saturday night out'. As usual, Bublé captures the audience and takes them on an intimate ride through the history of music.

I say intimate because somehow, and I still have no clue how he does it, he makes an arena seem like a small room. It always seems like you could reach out, no matter where you are in the arena, and touch him. Somehow, you feel like you are alone in a room with the people you went to the concert with having a private performance.

Of course, Bublé wouldn't be Bublé without the musical history he brings to his concerts. With a wide variety of songs ranging from ones my Nana loves to ones that I love today, Bublé easily slips into the hearts of everyone. Plus, we are all given a small music lesson along the way!

At what must of been the half way point of the concert Bublé quickly makes his way through the audience to his second stage. Here is where the music picks up and everyone is on their feet dancing and singing. With the occasional joke and dashing smile Bublé starts to close up to concert, much to my disappointment.

Making his way back to the main stage he slows down the pace again and the intimate feel is instantly back. As the musicians disappear behind the curtain, Bublé is left standing alone with a single spotlight lighting the stage. He drops his microphone to his side and starts to sing, his voice resonating through the entire audience. Everyone is silent as his finishes off the song 'Home' and sadly waves goodbye. It's hard to believe that three hours had gone by!

As always, Michael Bublé performs amazingly and captures the hearts of everyone in the audience again and again. In the meantime I'll be patiently sitting here waiting for him to announce his next tour (please let it be soon!)!!

Until next time, Emily xoxo

I've tried out this recipe a few times and every time I've absolutely loved it so I'm going to share it all with you so you can enjoy it too. I watched a YouTube video a few weeks back with Jamie Oliver and Jim Chapman and that's where I got the inspiration from.
* Please note, as this recipe does use boiling water and a stove, please have parental supervision with you if needed.

Serves 3-4

What you will need:

  • 250 g of cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 30 g black olives
  • sea salt
  • black pepper
  • Parmesan cheese
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • spaghetti, enough for 3-4 people
  • 100 g salami, thinly sliced

Method:

Peel and finely slice the garlic and cut the cherry tomatoes in half. Stone the olives if need be. Cut the salami in half. (Prep is now done!)

Fill and boil the kettle. Put a deep pasta pan on a medium heat and fill with the boiling water, add a good few pinches of sea salt and bring back to the boil. Place the spaghetti and cook according to the packet instructions. Once cooked, drain the pasta.

Meanwhile, put a medium saucepan over a medium heat, add a dash of extra virgin olive oil and the garlic. Once the garlic is golden, tip in your salami and let it heat through before adding your cherry tomatoes and olives. Season with a little black pepper, cover with a lid and turn the heat to low. Cook gently, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until the tomatoes are soft, then turn off the heat.

Tip your drained pasta into the pan with the tomatoes and gently toss before serving into separate bowls. Season with black pepper and grate parmesan cheese on top. Then enjoy!

I hope you all enjoy this recipe as much as I do and if you try it out please let me know how it turned out!

Until next time, Emily xoxo

It's a new year and a new you... scrap that, why do you need to change? Why not change the environment around you instead? Go buy some new bedding, some nice pillows, some new lights, a new rug or a new mug for your cup of tea/coffee/hot chocolate.

Every girl and boy needs a change once in a while - spice up your environment and spice up your life! I recently bought some roses for my room but failed to maintain them so opted for some Ikea ones instead. Not only has this made my room look more lively but it adds a bit of colour also! If you're like me and you still live with your parents in a house that they rent which means the only thing you can do to the walls is put up pictures then any small hint of colour makes a huge difference!

Now I'm not saying to go our right now and buy everything that catches your eye - I've done that and ended up with so much stuff I had no idea what to do with it was awful! Instead make a plan, decide what you want to add or change, do some research and then go hunting. My all time favourite place to hunt for ideas are home magazines - everything is done up (way too) perfect but you can always grab a few ideas and put them import them into your place and you can always find them at a cheaper price too (did someone say Ikea?)!

In Australia I have a few favourite places to look around for home wares - Bed, Bath N Table, Ikea (of course) and Adairs. Though if I had the money to afford the products and the postage I would spend all my time on H&M (though I already do - looking at all the home layouts!).

So what are you waiting for? A new rug or bedding can make a big difference to not only your bedroom but also your life! Brighten up a room and brighten up your life!

Until next time, Emily xoxo
